One of the greatest ways GRACE Ministries serves the people of Guatemala is through the medical clinics.
Many of the ailments are commonplace; headaches, gastrointestinal problems, arthritis, and other conditions. Some are out of the ordinary, including spina bifida, deep-rooted warts and cysts, and congestive heart failure.
Doctors and nurses alike see patients, with the most serious conditions diagnosed by physicians. If it’s something that can be handled at the clinic, they take immediate action. If it’s a bigger issue, the physicians give a preliminary diagnosis and work with GRACE staff to help the patient get to a higher level of care and (hopefully) into the Guatemala health care system quicker for any needed treatments.
