In Matthew 28: 19-20 Jesus said, “ Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  We partner with churches, mission teams, Guatemala churches, and other ministries to make disciples in the country of Guatemala.  We are able to meet physical needs in the lives of the people along with telling them about the love and salvation found through Jesus Christ.

The short-term mission teams minister through providing proficient shelter for families, assisting in medical needs, giving of food and clothes to families, and hosting Vacation Bible Schools though local churches.  We work with a local pastor in the village to organize these ministry opportunities. This allows the pastor to continue to minister to the family after the mission team leaves.

Guatemala Relief and Compassion Effort has also established a church in Chimaltenango and a church in El Tejar.  These churches continue to minister and share the gospel throughout the community.

Guatemala Relief and Compassion Effort has established a feeding and educational program for 110 children.  The program allows the children to attend public school, receive weekly meals, and have academic tutoring in the afternoons.  The program has opened doors to build relationships with the families and to emphasize the long-term importance of education.
