Along with a nutritional program, Guatemala Relief and Compassion Effort helps meet the educational needs for the children in grades kindergarten through eighth by providing academic tutoring.   The children come five times a week to receive instruction in reading, math, and computer skills.  The lack of resources provided for public education does not allow the children to learn computer skills or enjoy learning through literature.  The center provides computers to assist in teaching and a library for them to enjoy the different types of literature.  The children are also able to learn through play by exploring with different types of art, music, and building activities (STEM).
