Currently, approximately 50 percent of Guatemalan children under five years of age are stunted due to chronic food insecurity. Guatemala Relief and Compassion Effort provides a nutritionally-balanced meal three times a week for 110 children. The children receive a protein, vegetables, fruit, and vitamin tablet for lunch. The well-balanced meals help the children in their physical and mental development.
