One activity most groups that travel to Guatemala with Grace Ministries have is the opportunity to partake in food distributions in the areas served by the missionary teams.
According to John King of Grace Ministries, the supplies handed out can supplement the average family for up to a month. There are usually 100 families that have been selected to receive the distribution. The missionaries line up and the family member collecting the supplies walks down the line receiving a little something from each person.
Smiles, hugs, and many times, tears of joy, emerge from both the Americans and the Guatemalans as they collect these precious resources for their families.
