Guatemala has the lowest literacy rate in Central America with only 74.5% of the population age 15 and over being literate.  It is difficult for the impoverished children to go to school due to the rising cost of uniforms, books, school supplies, and transportation–none of which are supplied by the government.  The teachers do not receive the resources or professional training needed to meet the various learning styles of the children. The public schools do not assist in helping children with any type of physical or learning disabilities, and the classrooms are overcrowded. The cost of education along with the need to provide for daily needs causes many children to never finish the sixth grade.

We believe every child deserves the chance of a high-standard education regardless of race, gender, or socio-economic status. The children deserve to learn from qualified teachers who receive adequate professional training to meet the various learning styles. The children deserve to be in a classroom which allows them the chance to engage in higher-level thinking through science, math, literature, and arts.

It is our desire to build a school with classrooms, a library, a computer lab, and adequate resources. The children will be taught by certified teachers who receive professional training throughout the year.

Our goal is to begin the first day of school in January 2020!  You Can Partner With Us!  You can buy a desk to represent the life of a child for only $1000.  This contribution will allow us to build a school for grades kindergarten through sixth with appropriate classroom space, qualified teachers, and resources
