We blinked and the first four summer groups have come and gone!   The days always seem to fly by as there are lots of activities on the mountain.  Exactly how much work can be accomplished in 4 short weeks?   How many people can be impacted?  How many needs can be met?

There were 70 houses built in four weeks!  70 families heard the gospel of Jesus Christ.   70 families slept in a warm house with concrete floors as they listened to the rain fall at night.   70 families watched a group of strangers be the hands and feet of Jesus.

There were 1500 bags of food given to families.   1500 families were given a bag of basic food supplies.   1500 people said a prayer of gratitude because their family had food for the following week.

There were 120 people who traveled to Guatemala to serve for one week.   There were 120 people who laughed, worshipped, cried, and saw God show up in amazing ways.   There were 120 people who returned home with their hearts overflowing.

There were 640 lunches served in the community.

There were 270 happy children who ate Burger King for lunch at a school (My Special Treasure School).

There are 270 children who play basketball and soccer on concrete rather than mud at their school (My Special Treasure School).

There were sooo many people who sat around the supper table with the sponsor of a child.

There were 40 juniors and seniors who dressed to impress as they had a good time at the Jr/Sr Formal.

There were 80 precious students who reminded us of God’s Truths and sang loudly as they worshipped.

There were lots of late night soccer games played on Colegio JET field.

Only four short weeks!   The houses, the food distributions, the lunches, the soccer games—those are all good things.   But every single thing we do is to be able to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the people.

(Of course, this is only a small part of the things happening within our ministry. Medical Clinic, Dental Clinic, School, English Academy, Youth Work Program, Church, Etc keeps us very busy).

“We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work.”  John 9:4
