Deidra, and their 3 daughters moved to Guatemala in 2017 to serve the impoverished people. Their non-profit ministry, Shining Light Abroad Ministries, partners with Grace Ministries to help change the lives of the children in El Tejar physically, academically, and spiritually. In 2023, the Taylor family experienced the unexpected devastating loss of Soy Taylor. Deidra along with her daughters , Lizzi, Sydney, and Audrey, continue to share the love and salvation of Jesus Christ in the community of El Tejar Guatemala. Deidra partners with Grace Ministries to oversee the daily operations of the short-term mission teams, Colegio JET, Iglesia JET, S.L.A.M.
