Since I see these students every day, then I am able to hear them express their gratitude towards Grace Ministries. They may see me as the boots on the ground, but none of this possible without the people who support us. In October, I asked the seniors to write a “Thank You” letter to give to the North Americans at the graduation. If I am honest, I did not expect the letters to be great. I gave them only a couple days notice and not everyone loves to write. However, I was pleasantly surprised as I began to read each one of them. I printed them off and shared with the people who came to the graduation. So many times I have wanted each person to know exactly how thankful the students are for every single one of you. Over the next several weeks, I will share a few of the letters written by the students. These letters are written to you with a heart of gratitude!
11 Years with Grace Ministries
Career: Teacher
Grace Ministries has been an immense blessing to me. I arrived at a time when I needed direction, support, and hope. Through this ministry, I found not only spiritual guidance, but also a family that has accompanied me every step of the way. They have helped me understand myself better, heal past wounds, and understand that God has a perfect purpose for my life.
I’ve learned to trust more in God and less in my own strength. I’ve learned that faith is demonstrated in small daily decisions, and that serving others is one of the most beautiful ways to show Christ’s love. I’ve also learned the value of community, teamwork, and how every person, regardless of their background, has something valuable to contribute.
My future will be different because I now walk with purpose. Grace Ministries has taught me to dream, to have clear goals, and to trust that God will guide me every step of the way. I no longer see challenges as obstacles, but as opportunities for growth. I am determined to share with others what I have received here: hope, faith, and love.
Honestly, I don’t know what my life would be like without Grace Ministries, but I do know it would be very different. Grace Ministries has given me a new perspective, a new identity, and new hope. Without this ministry, I might still be lost, without direction, or without understanding my value in Christ.
Today I can say that Grace Ministries has not only changed my present, but it has transformed my future.
To all the people who have invested their time, their resources, and their hearts in me: thank you. Thank you for believing in me, even when I doubted myself. Thank you for your prayers, your patience, and your example. Everything you have sown in my life is bearing fruit, and I promise to continue multiplying that investment in the lives of others. Thank you so much.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
